While I continue to plug away at my sequel novel, I'm happy to report the following acceptances so far this year:

√ Two of my poems [ There's a Certain Way and Springtime is for Poetry and Self-Love, You Idiot (Part One) ] were accepted for the 2024 edition (to be released May) of Poetry Pacific.

√ My historical fantasy novelette, Fair-Weather Friend will be serialized over several issues (starting next month, September 2023) in Infinity Wanderers Magazine.

√ And my latest short story, Gifted (from The Tales of Myrrek), is now being featured on Teleport Magazine.

Woot Woot!

In case anyone was wondering: by my count, my acceptances have covered eight or nine different genres and sub-genres over the decades. If you’re wondering how I keep all the different genres straight in my addled little brain, here’s a fairly well researched essay (feel free to link to it in other genre discussions, as they crop up) about it.

It’s called: Science Fantasy: A Genre out of Time.

Best,
_Mark

p.s. I love this Frank Frazetta cover (as an examples of what used to be the norm, when SCIFAN was a thing). Sorry the resolution isn't a bit better
