I read this a year or two ago and haven't met anyone else who's read this masterpiece. Anyone else out there? Any other love for it?

I'm not sure the author would classify it as SF, but it absolutely has elements of SF (same vein as, Sea of Tranquility, by Emily St. John Mandel) and it has one of the best antagonists I've ever encountered.

It has the BEST twist I've ever encountered-- and it's an off-hand, throw away line that recontextualizes the prior 400-ish pages. I was walking the dog and listening to the audiobook and literally stopped in the street, then laughed.

It's long (600 pages). It's 4th wall breaking post-modernism. It's so, so good.
