Book not on Amazon - exclusive to independent bookstores including Bookshop.org

Does everyone know about Hive? (https://www dot hive dot co dot uk/) You can get (almost) any new book available anywhere delivered to a bookstore near you. This lets you support independent booksellers, providing they have signed up to the sheme - and a lot have.

They pay an absolute tiny amount to booksellers - much much better to support bookshop.org for a decent payout to a bookstore (30% goes to your nominated one and a further 10% goes into a pool for all) :)

Okay, I love bookshop.org, and I buy almost all of my physical books from there, except for a few second hand books (shout out to Leakey's in Inverness for that!). I like that I can support Jo's shop*, even though I'm a couple of hundred kilometres from her, and that it's given me the location of a local(ish) indie bookshop that I may visit this weekend. Most of all, I like that it's not the 'Zon. Please, more books released this way, and more independent bookshops!

By the way, Jo, reading The Doric Gruffalo aloud was definitely fun.

*Sorry, but I know I would support fellow Chronners wherever possible, so I thought a little plug for Jo's rather nice bookshop wouldn't go amiss.

I’m glad it’s fun! I thought it would never arrive. And thank you, as ever, for your support x
