This might be one of the worst ideas I've ever had -- but it's unlikely to be the worst, unless it also risks setting a freezer factory ablaze, so I'll run it up the flagpole and see how many bullet holes it picks up.

I watched this video earlier:

in which the presenter (whose style, let me warn you, won't be to all tastes) points out how fragmented audiences have become, so it's very unlikely to be able to share the experience of watching a TV series as it progresses. We get some discussion on here of e.g. Star Wars shows that release weekly, or Doctor Who, but that's about it. So the idea came to me that we could set up a kind of viewing club. We could pick one series that a lot of people have access to, but few have already seen, watch one episode a week, and talk about it in between (with maybe a "rule" that everyone in the club has to respond each week, however little).

Would anyone be interested in that?

Obviously the main difficulty, even if anyone is keen, is to find something that everyone wants to watch and has access to. But we can think about that bridge once we find out if we're heading anywhere near the river.

Im not desperate enough to watch this. ;)
