A new idea for fusion that could use a lot less energy to operate than the traditional hydrogen fusion reaction. A boron atom fuses with a single proton, basically a regular hydrogen atom, instead of using heavy hydrogen or tritium. Protons could be a lot easier to work with. Lasers are used to focus the reaction. The reaction would have a spherical shape which should be more efficient. Its all theoretical at this point, but it is a different way of producing fusion which could open the door to something that might work.
