I enjoyed Firemane, it was a bit generic, Feist does like his assassins and thieves. The female characters are more rounded.
In previous books the only female of any substance was Mara, mainly I think was due to Janny Wurts.

His solo works rarely paid that much attention to women its true, although I think characters like Miranda and Carline were good interesting characters.
I tried a bit of the second Firemane and was... I dunno, it was fine, it just wasn't doing anything for me. I might revisit.
