The king of the B Movies , gave us some truly great entertaining and memorable films . Launched a ton of careers in directing, producing acting careers of note and even manage to revive the career of some notable actors.

What are favourite films by him and what are thoughts about his films?:)

The Fall of the House of Usher 1960 with Vincent Price

Masque of the Red Death 1964 also Vincent Price .

Both great films that check all the boxes for excellence in terms of filmmaking.

My favorites are

Pit and the Pendulum
The Raven
X-The Man With the X-Ray Eyes

The Masque of the Red Death
The Haunted Palace
It Conquered the World
House of Usher

I also like The St. Valentine's Day Massacre
The worst Corman film IMO is Creature From the Haunted Sea.

I should rewatch Frankenstein Unbound --I haven't seen it since 1990
All I can remember about it is Bridget Fonda holding a book while sitting in a car(?) and saying in a not too convincing accent "I will be known in the future!"

If we included his producer credits
then Death Race 2000 and
Piranha, Battle Beyond the Stars etc would be included.

Death Race 2000 (hey, he was producer on this one, I say it counts). It's a very dumb movie that you can really tell was shot on a slim budget, but it manages to be quite a fun time all the same. It often feels like an incredibly violent live-action Hanna-Barbera cartoon and I love it.

It's also got some great and timeless satire . :D

Which, of course, just adds another layer upon which the film can be appreciated.
Along with the tongue and check over the top acting . David Carbines , Sylvester Stallone and the other actors looked like they having a really fun time making this film .:)

I noticed that Dick Miller of Gremlins fame is in a lot of his movies. Sad he died. He was a good friend of Joe Dante throughout the years as well.

DeathSport 3000 wasn't so good because it lacked the fun , humor and satire of Death Race . It looked really cheap really cheap.

I have to think about this, but certainly most of the Poe movies and X: The Man with X-Ray Eyes. I also recall liking The Undead, but it's been so long I'd have to see it again to be sure. If you're including movies he produced, Targets is excellent; two others, Stripped to Kill and The Velvet Vampire I've seen recently and are better than their titles, though maybe just short of being really good.

They worked together in almost every Dante film. There was some kind of magic in their partnership; it was always something special.

Battle Beyond the Stars which is a thinly disguised rehash of The Seven Samurai. It had great actors and, In it own right , it' s a great science fiction and is a B movie classic . Ive rewatched it many times, It never gets old .

Battle Beyond The Stars is the only Corman movie that i can recall seeing.

Very enjoyable at the time and i remember it fondly. Not sure how it's hold up to viewing as an adult.
