Am looking for an anthology from early 2000s or before. In one story a girl is visiting her brother at boarding school (possibly reform school) and finds that he has been fitted with a brain chip giving him fierce headaches if he criticises it or says or does anything "out of order". She promises to help, only to learn that her parents have enrolled her there and she will be fitted with a similar chip.
Iirc there was another story involving a telephone receiving calls from the future. The hearer learns that she is to die in a car accident, but in trying to prevent this she inadvertently *causes it.
