Things you found left in books

I wonder if it was donated by the owner or by his (presumably) parents? Either way, he'd probably had a few anxious moments when he realised what had happened.

I'm trying to remember what the book was now, but someone's temporary security pass for some sort of UN conference in London fell out of something I ordered from a UK bookseller. It even showed they held fairly high office. It was about the same date as the book was when new, about twenty years out of date though. Also, it wasn't validated so the person did not 'use' it (did not attend) and I've wondered if that might've been because they lost or otherwise got rid of the book I bought! I hope it didn't affect world security negatively.

In a Star Trek audiobook I bought from a charity, behind one of the audiobook cds was a homebrew cd of porn. I've always imagined that it was some teenage boy's stash that was carefully hidden from disapproving grownups.

You should have seen what I found on a 0.5Tb hard drive I once found in a bin. Took me weeks to delete it all.

So you bought Sex Trek instead of Star Trek. I'm not sure that's an equivalent substitute.

Don't remember the book but found a $20.

In an indoor gardening book called 'The Facts of Light', I found an entire pressed very large marijuana leaf.
It was, in my opinion, the result of successful indoor gardening.:sneaky:

I've had some concert ticket stubs fall out of a second-hand LP record a couple of times, I think someone must've kept them together for a purpose. Also had those paper juke-box tabs come with 7" 45s a couple of times. Needless to say I keep them where they are. If you buy The Who: Live At Leeds you'll have all kinds of things fall out of it! :giggle:
