November's 75 Worder is up, courtesy of last month's winner, Cat's Cradle!

Theme: PETS
Genre: OPEN

As the genre is "open" that means, in CC's words "the whole spectrum of fictional genre settings is available" for your storytelling, so think outside the SFF genre box this month! I know he's hoping for fluffy stories of loveable cats and dogs. Knowing the propensity of you lot, I'm prepared for bucket-loads of gore...

Let's try and get lots of entries this month -- we need more stories!!

Good luck, one and all!

I just happened to look at the digital display of a clock at 11:01 today (1-11, or 11-01 if you will) and a story (with Open genre) was born. I feel sorry for the disappearing dogs, but am happy to be (for once) the first to enter a story.

I've got an awful idea for this. It won't get me any votes as no one - potentially no one - will understand it. Definitely none outside of the UK.

Ok, first I must apologise to anyone from Tyneside - I hope that I've got the slang correct. Second, I couldn't resist as soon as I saw "Pets".

Sorry Cat's Cradle but I'm going to have to insist that cats are not allowed. Horrible creatures that sponge off us and never say thanks. Sharp claws too, why let such a dangerous animal into your home I say. Bring on the forever faithful dogs, they'll see off those pesky cats.

But cats are love - cats are life! (Dogs are also love and life, I have no problems with the ending bits of your comment.;))
~~~
I didn't mean to enter so quickly, but an idea came to me last night, and they pester me relentlessly until I can get rid of them. I'm really happy my prompts didn't cause a revolt; you never know if they are good or bad, till you see stories begin to come in. I'm enjoying the entries already up, and best of luck to those still thinking, CC
Slow on the uptake, only just got that.
I was workshopping puns involving Crocodile Shoes, and was trying to remember the name of the TV series which introduced Jimmy Nail to the entertainment world so I could include that too. Failed on both counts.
