Read a Hundred Pages a Day?

For me a lot of it comes down to what I do with my limited fund of attention -- limited at least by the time available to me. Now retired, I usually have several hours aside from household things, time with the missus when she's off the clock, etc. If I'm reading books I really do want to read, I'm likely to feel the time is better spent that way than if I dissipate my attention. I think lots of people are thinking, these days, about such things.

Have you seen Brian Lee Durfee's Youtube channel, he claims he reads 100 pages an hour and can go through many books a month. He is a bit quirky but his reviews are decent.

I have a nice, big, juicy steak. I could wolf it down in less than a minute given the chance. Or I could eat it piece by piece, savouring each mouthful between sips of a full bodied red wine.

One results in a satisfying experience, the other with indigestion.
