Superman (2025)

Krypto the dog... Really?
I liked the music.
But I just hope there isn't another origin story...

The people did this movie gave great respect to comic book lore of the Superman. Still the best Superman film of all.

Superman II was great too, and I loved Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor.

Christopher Reeve was a super man in more ways than one, overcoming incredible adversity.

Absolute legend, and his Superman will always be my Superman.

Agreed. :)

Margot Kidder as Lois Lane

Marlon Brando as Jorel
Terrance Stamp as General Zod
Jackie Coogan s Perry White
Ned Beatly as Otis
Valerie Perrine as Eve Teschmacher

And the perfect rendition of John William's theme tune. The version in this trail is simply awful. Why are they trying to mess with perfection? Even the worst Star Wars movie knew better than to mess with an iconic intro.

I've got an open mind for this, but the music and the look is still very much set in the Christopher Reeve era.

He really was Superman. RIP, Christopher.

Krypto was in Superman 1978. The dog on the farm.
I did not know this until recently.

I am cautiously enthused. Gunn is a big fan of the Donner films.

I watched some of the filming - from waaay back. Many of the scenes were filmed in Cleveland probably in partial tribute to Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster who were raised here and met at a local High School, Glenville High. A friend taught there and told me that there is was a large plaque in a hall. They eventually had to put it in a glass case due to regular graffiti additions.
