I want to try something new, Historical Fiction. Not sure how. It has modern-day silent movie stars that meet the legendary Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson. The problem is Bat Masterson, died in 1921. Is there a possibility that I changed his death date in the story? The story ~ In a gripping tale set against the glamorous backdrop of 1920s Hollywood, the legendary lawman Wyatt Earp joins forces with the charismatic Tom Mix to unravel a high-stakes kidnapping mystery. As they navigate the glitzy world of silent film stars and deceitful studio executives, secrets emerge that threaten to shake the very foundation of Hollywood. Will Earp and Mix's unlikely partnership be enough to crack the case and restore order in the Wild West of the silver screen?

A remake of the 1988 film, "Sunset" starring Bruce Willis. [My Version] Which of these titles sounds better for the story?

Titles:
"The New Frontier"
"The New Age Outlaws"
"The New Blood"
"The New Breed"
"New Blood Rising"

How about Tinseltown Frontier or Tinseltown Cowboy

I'd be careful about writing a book that too closely follows a movie's plot and characters. I'd also consider choosing a different character than changing the year of death of a real person.

Why not have Billy the Kid, who some say lived well into the 20th century. He would be an interesting character to have to contrast with Earp.

Maybe you can find a hook to it that is different from the movie.
Like something that links the Old West to Hollywood. I am thinking of--it was mentioned in a news article that the set for a 1920s film shot in Arizona was discovered --it was an ancient Egypt film--so they found relics of the set in the desert.
Maybe the story involves an artifact from the Old West in Hollywood for some reason-or found on a movie set shot in the desert------and they need to find an expert to identify it. Thus they bring in an actual figure from the time.
Maybe that is too melodramatic but it is another possibility to distance it from the 1987 movie.
