It's been a year of Disney & Dr. Who.

Anyone have any thoughts. As the BBC charter is set to expire in 2027 and many looking to end the BBC. What are the thoughts of Disney taking over complete control of Dr. Who in the Future??

If Disney took over dr Who what Would Il ike to see ? More series set in the Dr Who universe. for example Id love to see The Earth Dalek Wars on the big screen or tv miniseries dealing with the Sontaran / Rhutan war . make it sort of band of bother type series . Id like to see them retain UK wrter and producers but would also love to see them bring in US producers and writers as well who have understanding and respect for Dr Who.

It’ll be like this

If that's how the typical Englishman runs for cover -- by avoiding cover at all costs -- we might understand why the Daleks prefer to invade England over and over again.

Hey, look a pile of rubble. should I hid behind it? No. I think I'll slowly climb up the face of it in full view of the enemy.

Then again, if this is how BBC presents someone running for cover, maybe the Disney take-over isn't an entirely terrible thing.

Id like to see what Kevin Fiege, Russo Brothers or Alex Proyas could do with the Daleks.

I am surprised, though.
With all the handwringing about Disney owning Marvel and Star Wars, I am surprised that there isn't more vitriol about Disney moving in on a British Classic -- Dr. Who.

Could it be be that the BBC wants hand off Dr Who to Disney because it's becoming tooo expensive for them to produce the Show?

Said like someone who believes that Dr. Who is a masterpiece of story telling and dramatic pacing.

The Clasic series had incredible serials like Inferno or Image of the Fendhl . The new series gave uses episodes like, Age of Steel and Doomsday and Blink and many more.

Disney actually does have good writers and producers who could come up with interesting story ideas for Dr Who .
