I've read books 1&2 of this trilogy but book 3 was initially going to be 2024 and now it's apparently due for release in 2027!

Also the book title appears to alternate between The Forever Dead and The Empty Heavens?

Does anyone know what is happening?
Is John Birmingham writing 2 books?
