Eric Brown was a British science fiction, crime and children’s author, and a newspaper editor. He also wrote historical mysteries, and some of his stories are set in India.
His first publication was a play for children, Noel's Ark (1982) but most of his books were published in the nineties and noughties.
He is probably best known for his science fiction novels and novellas from the following series: Bengal, Salvagemen Ed, Kéthani, Engineman, The Fall of Tartarus, Telemass and the Sapphire Oasis.
