Graham Masterton is a British author of mainly horror fiction, but also of crime novels, historical fiction, thrillers, and non-fiction books of sex instruction. He has written over 100 novels, as well as collections of short stories. He was previously a journalist and the editor of the Penthouse adult magazine.
He is another author whose novels or short stories frequently appear to be the answers to queries within our SFF Chronicles Book Search forum.
He first became known in the horror fiction genre in the mid 1970’s with the novel The Manitou (1975), the first of his Harry Erskine series, and which was adapted into a 1978 film; and also for The Devils of D-Day (1978) and Charnel House (1978).
He is also known for his Night Warriors series, beginning with Night Warriors (1986) and his Jim Rook series, beginning with Rook (1996), and for the standalone novels, Famine (1981), Tengu (1983), The Mirror (1988) and The Doorkeepers (2001).
Masterton's novels often contain scenes of visceral sex and horror.
Masterton is the editor of Scare Care, an anthology of horror stories for the benefit of abused children.
