Horror Readers Wanted!

For all the horror reader fans out there, i need your help! i read this really cool book a long time ago and i can remember everything but a tittle and a author. if you remember what it is, please send me clues here or at Hikaru_Mitzamui@yahoo.com

This horror book is about a family of four: a dad, a mom, and two sisters. i believe that a grandmother is living with them, but not sure on whos side of the family. the dad is a drunk and abusive to the mom, but sexually abuses his oldest daughter. the mom is also a drunk. the story begins when the dad, mom, grandmother, and youngest sister move into another house because there was a horrible fire in their last house, and the older daughter was killed. (im not sure if the dad or mom started the fire. it could have been). In the new house, the younger sister starts seeing the ghost of the older sister, who is trying to help her. somehow, another ghost also gets involved (i think it is the ghost of a young boy who was also abused in his lifetime). the story ends with the dad dying (stabbed by the mother?) and the mother finally seeing her dead daughters ghost.

someone help me! im going crazy trying to remember the title!

I'm afraid I have no idea other than it doesn't sound like Andrews at all. Do you know perhaps how old it was or any names? Usually that helps narrow the search down.

im not sure..i read it 5 years ago, and i guess only someone whos read a lot of horror would recognize the story. i work in a used bookstore, and have exahusted my resources. so im hoping to rely on a lucky reader out there. if you know anyone who reads lots of horror, tell em to read my post. id really appreciate the help, and to everyone whos replied thank you.

What country was it set in? Sounds a bit like "The Doll Who Ate His Mother" by Ramsey Campbell, but that would be based in Liverpool.

i dont think that is it. its in the united states, and the main story is the little girl, trying to survive after her sister died to the fire in her house. her mom and dad are abusive, the dad sexually and the mom is negligence. they are both acoholics. but thank you. >< this is driving me more nuts.
