Anyone read this author's books? She doesnt seem to have written many. I've not read her stuff before, but I found her first book description intriquing.:)

Marianne is surprise surprise another Aussie author..

I've not read anything by this writer yet but may do so at some stage. She's written 4 books, 3 of which are a trilogy (Guardians Of Time) and is working on a fifth one now, marketed towards the YA market.

In case this helps throw any further light on things below is a link to her website:

Thanks for the link :) Her site is quite nice, even a few tips about writing.

I've got my hands on The Named, and hoping it's not too young in theme. From the story background I think it should be OK :D

I'll do that, though it may be a while before I get to read it.

No problem, re: Paul Kearney thread let us know how you find The Mark Of Ran once you've finished it, most interested in your thoughts on it.

Over and out..

I'm currently reading The Named by this author, first book in the Guardians of Time series.

I would say it's a cross genre as it includes, supernatural, sci-fi and fantasy. Nicely integrated too. My only complaint so far is the changing from POV when starting chapters. There are two main characters Ethan and Isabel and it will start a chapter with one of their names and the story is then written from their POV.

Does make for smooth reading

Anyone else discovered this author

Nope BUT here's a link to a thread started by Rune under the Book & Lit thread on this author...

Can Alia or Rune please combine this below thread with the current one under YA to form the one thread for YA????? HELP!!!!!!!!! :( :( :( :( :(

I've managed to get the next book The Dark, recently. I've a load of books to read at present so goodness knows when I'll get it read. But must be honest and say I'm looking forward to seeing how the series progresses :D
