I have been recommended to put a guideline together for the Young Adult Fiction Forum. It is like a standard for what should be recommended reading for Young Adults (and Children). Publishers have a list of criteria that an author has to meet in order for a book to be considered Young Adult and/or Children, such as: page length of the book, absence of overt sexual encounters, etc. etc. etc... I am currently doing the research for that... if anyone knows or can suggest where to find it, let me know. Thanks!
If anyone has suggestions of what they would consider a Young Adult Fiction please feel free to share. But please keep in mind, that this thread is not intended to start an arguement, or is for a healthy debate. I'm merely looking for suggestions to put together a guideline for recommending reading. Thanks!
So the question is: What do you think makes a Young Adult book?
