Which is your favorite trilogy of Discworld?

If you do not know, there are trilogies of TP's works out there, each with a character or group of characters as the main focal point. For instance, the City Watch trilogy focuses on the City Watch (big surprise there...)

Anyway, what trilogy do you think is the best?

City Watch (Guards! Guards!, Men at Arms, Feet of Clay)?
Gods (Small Gods, Pyramids, Hogfather)?
Rincewind (Sourcery, Eric, Interesting Times)?
Death (not sure which titles these are...)?
Witches (ditto)?

My favorite trilogy has to be the City Watch. Even though Im not that keen on Guards! Guards!

Yeah, City Watch. The only one I own in fact. I've read all the Watch books, but only some of the others, mostly Death and the stand alones, but also quite a few of the Rincewind books. None of the witch ones, I don't think.

I am probably alone in enjoying the Rincewind books the most (not that you can really call them a Trilogy)

I enjoyed the one off's as well of course - Pyramids & Small Gods

But hey, they're all really good (although I wasn't as enamoured with Thief of Time as I would have liked to have been)

the best pratchett books for me has got to be going postal, interesting times is also amazing cohen makes me laugh alot.
thinkin about it there all good. u cant really define any of his books as a trilogy cos they all intertwine.

I think it's weird that they still sell "The Watch Trilogy" or "The Witches Trilogy" or "The Death Trilogy"... cos none of them are trilogies.

Fave is the city watch... then the witches. The others are good too though.

@rogerrabbit - I didn't like Going Postal really (or Interesting Times - gah, bloody Rincewind)... I thought it was too much like The Truth really. Better than the appalling (for Pratchett) Monstrous Regiment though.

I love the city watch, but it's any book with Death in it that makes me laugh. They all seem to have slightly different types of humour I think.. the wizards (having a slightly Faulty Towers quality maybe!) I cannot get into at all - but then that makes Pratchett a clever writer for being able to deliver something for everyone.
So yes, Death wins for me. Especially Soul Music and Thief of Time.

Without a doubt - City Watch. I love those characters so much and the stories are just so compelling and funny.

Death (and his 'family' especially) is always hilarious, though the Watch probably make a better set overall.

The witches are great, and the watch of course. However, nothing can beat the lovely descriptions of different shades of black and deaths dry humor in the DEATH TRIOLOGY
(maybe I'm also a bit influenced 'cause that was the first discworld work I possessed.... )

Without a doubt, the Rincewind series. Which runs, I reckon, like this:

Colour of magic
Light fantastic
Sourcery
Eric
Interesting Times
Last Continent

And he pops up again in the Science of Discworld too. Sorry, thats not really a trilogy, is it? Thing is, I read the stories in that order and now I think of Discworld through Rincewinds eyes.

The witches: Wyrd Sisters, Witches Abroad & ,,,,,,um forgotten the last one!

I loved the part in Wyrd Sisters where Granny Weatherwax is jump starting her broomstick..... classic, even now i laugh HUGE when reading that

Death and others, i.e. Mort, then Soul Music. I suppose Hogfather follows, but it doesn't complete my favourites list.

Is it The Colour of Magic or The Light Fantastic where Rincewind and Twoflower go to Death's house? I'll have that as the first in the above trilogy.

And my second favourite trilogy would be featuring the Watch:
Guards! Guards!
Men at Arms

and then one of any number of others to make up the three.

Hmm, yes I'm going with the 'City Watch'. I have enjoyed those very much; Night Watch, Men at Arms and...THUD! especially.

Although Mort is still one of my favourites.
