I know the next book comes out next year, the last one for this series. It's call The Crown of Stars, the seventh and last book in the series and should be released in Feb, from my understanding.

Good news Alia although the UK won't recieve it until September 2005, which usually means Oct 2005 for OZ......

Still at least it's finally arriving.... :D

Final Book 7, Feb 2006 for US still applies... :D

That proves to be a situation... you should have a friend in the states who could send it to you. That way you don't have to wait. ;)

Hmmm.. now that's a thought...

Do you know when the PB edition comes out in the US Alia??

That's Ok, Orbit UK has posted a 1st Sep 2005 release date for In The Ruins in both HB and PB, so we should get these into OZ by end Sep/Oct 2005.. :D

I just needed to urge to gloat a little, Barnes and Noble just called... my book is in... hubby is picking it up on his way home and I will be nonexistent until it's done!
I send you all my love and kisses... and I will see you on the other side. :D

Okay... I'll check in for a small discussion here and there, who am I kidding, I love this place. ;)

Well done Alia..:)

Certainly be interetsed though in youe opinoin of the book in terms of Does it Live Up To Expectations?....

Maybe you could hold off giving specific references to what happens until the rest of the wordl gets this book otherwise I may go on vacation from this thread for a while....:D :D :D :D

Ah... Gollum I would never spoil the book for those who haven't read it yet... I have a hard time with Lacey because I can't wait for him to catch up...
But I will see what I can do about writing something up once I'm done.

Don't be too sure of that Alia, if you look inside the covers of the books (Or some of the extremely old posts on the other board) Kate has been saying she was about to write the final book and title it Crown of Stars since after Child of Flame. I am not dissapointed though, I am glad she still has enthusiasm for this series enough to keep going at it and making it all it can be. It seemed to me like J. K. Rowling lost her enthusiasm for writing Harry Potter, she has been through so much change since she hit it off with the first Harry Potter it almost seems like she is just trudging along with it, someone I talked to about it remarked it was written almost word for word as a script and redy to be made into a movie. Pretty good chance you are right though. :p

Hey, :( what's up with that? Everyone is already getting their books from Barnes and Noble and it isn't even supposed to be out yet . I will just have to suffer until August 2nd, before I can get my copy. Hope you enjoy it!

Aaaaahhhh but Jaxom, she did say that the seventh book is the last one... but so was the sixth one... *giggles* No I'm sure the seventh is the last. Kate said that she wrote the sixth book and it was too large (but completed the series) and the publishers made her divide it in half. It's on her site!

Anyways... I'm 100 pages in to the story... Anything you guys want to know?

The writing style, I think, might have changed slightly. I'm not sure, its been awhile since I last read her books and I have read a few in between with different writing styles... and I'm far too lazy to reread the last book to figure it out...
Anyways, it's reading well, not poorly written at all.

All I want to know is if it's up to Kate's usual high standards or not, sounds as if it's a case of so far so good...

Nope as you would know by now I'm a man of great patience and willpower...

BTW check out my YA thread under Books & Lit, if you could get it moved to YA that would be great!...

So you don't want to know what characters are introduced in the first hundred pages? No details that your dying to know?
Nothing?

Of course I would die to know all that, except if you told me it waould make the wait all the harder, best to leave me in the dark at least.
