I was searching for new UK releases and found this info about a book by a new author :)

Mélusine-a city of secrets and lies, pleasure and pain, magic and corruption, and destinies lost and found...
Felix Harrowgate is a dashing, highly respected wizard. But the horrors of his past as an abused slave have returned, and threaten to destroy all he has since become.
As a cat burglar, Mildmay the Fox is used to being hunted. But now he has been caught by a wizard. And yet the wizard was looking not for Mildmay, but for Felix Harrowgate...
Thrown together by fate, these unlikely allies will uncover a shocking secret that will link them inexorably together.

I received 'Melusine' book last week, and reading it as we speak. Also have a interview planned with Ms. Monette after I finish. I'llbe be sure to share my htoguths when I'm done.

It certainly sounds interesting. I like the idea of a wizard character who is also sort of an anti-hero (which I'm reading from the description but could be wildly innaccurate). I've also always been fascinated by theives and their lives. It is a trend you see in fantasy and scifi more often than in regular fiction - at least it seems so to me.

Ainulindale - if you ever get tired of storing all of those ARCs, just send me a note and I'll give you my mailing address :D

I will keep that in mind:)

I am starting to be able to focus on Melusine as I just finsihed John C. Wright's Orphans of Chaos which I enjoyed quite a bit. Hell it may be the most enjoyable book I have read by him thus far.

I look forward to reading your thoughts on this book. It does look interesting, if I cant it from the library I may try buying it :D
