Here is a special preview of the new POV...
Walder
He knew the snow was more than discomforting to the frog-eaters. They were less concerned with the cripple and more concerned with their own safety... and that was fine with him. They would not be prepared when he dashed Bran's head against a tree.
Walder had always been an inquisitive child. Old Nan told him all the tales of the old heroes and that is who he wanted to be... the hero of the age. But he had found that all doors of heroism were closed to a lowborn stableboy... ambitious commoners only received beatings and derision. But it was hard to not be ambitious when you were a son of the king.
Nan, that old windbag, had whispered it to him one dark night. Her granddaughter, Sammi, Walder's mother had been a handmaid to Lyanna Stark. Sammi had accompanied Lyanna to the great tourney at Harrenhal. While Lyanna and the Starks were occupied with their own pleasures, King Aerys had spied Sammi and taken her against her will. Sammi returned to Winterfell a broken woman. Nan had talked her out of killing herself, but Sammi died in childbirth all the same.
The Starks never suspected a thing other than Sammi was a slut.
Walder wanted power, but how to get it?
The plan came to him in a flash... of lightning.
After being struck, he pretended to be a simpleton. People ignored fools and morons. Walder knew that he could gain access to the Starks inner secrets if people thought he was not listening. To pull the change in personality off, he repeated one word enlessly... hodor. In fact, people started calling him Hodor and few remembered that he'd ever been Walder... the Starks were easily misled.
And now the Horn of Winter or some other ancient artifact of untold power would soon be in his possession. All he had to do was wait... and these three children would be no match for his strength when the time came. The only potential problem was that damned wolf. Yes, the wolf had to die first, then the girl, then the mouthy, opinionated frog boy, and then the cripple. Walder would make Bran pay for treating him so poorly over the years. Bran would pay for all the Starks. No one would call him Hodor ever again.
