Anyone read this author works? I'm trying to get The Harvest Tide Project from my library. Dont know anything about the book, just happened to be one that was available in my county :)

Know very little of this Irish author but here's a blurb on that book and a link to their website... :)

Taya and Lorkrin are Myunans - shape-changers who can sculpt their flesh like modelling clay. They accidentally release Shessil Groach, a timid botanist working in captivity on the top-secret Harvest Tide Project. A massive manhunt is launched by the sinister Noranian Empire, which will stop at nothing to protect its Project. With the help of a scent-seller, a barbarian mapmaker and their Uncle Emos, the teenagers and Groach keep one step ahead of the Noranians, while they try to find a way to sabotage the Harvest Tide Project and avert the disaster it will unleash...

I hadn't heard of him before, Rune... but I did do my favorite thing... research. :D

Here's what I found to add to Gollum's remarks...

Oisin currently has four books available, with several more in the pipeline. All books are intended for readers of 10 years and upwards - many adults are reading them too. It sounds like a great young adult author to me. :)

Mad Grandad's Flying Saucer

Mad Grandad's Robot Garden

The Gods And Their Machines

The Harvest Tide Project

I'm going to pick The Harvest Tide Project up today from my library, hoping it will be a good read :D

Let us know how he reads, Rune. The Mad Grandpa books look like they could be a lot of fun. I think I might look into them for my son.

I picked this book up yesterday, got half way through before I put it down. It's a book that I think very YA's would enjoy. However, I found that even adult's were viewed in an immature way and the character's were a little to childish for me.
