The release date for Imperial Spy has come forward by 2 months. It is now due for release in the UK on 6 Feb 06. Review copies are being sent out now. Reviews are expected to start rolling in soon.

Thanks, Kelpie. I'm very pleased with it. I've just sent off the word picture for the cover design of the second book to the art director, complete with the appropriate section of text from the manuscript. It will be interesting to see what the second one comes out like. It certainly won't be so easy to centralise the Image with Imperial Assassin.

Oh, yes. And I just got the proofs through of the finished cover artwork. I hadn't really understood what they were trying to do with the title until I saw it in all of its technicolour glory. The title, complete with the dragon have been done in holo foil. It looks stunning!

You betcha, Brian! I've got a meeting in London tomorrow with the sales team at Simon & Schuster to discuss plans for launch events. It seems they are planning to whisk me around the UK for about a week at their expense and then it'll be up to me. Actually, that's better than I expected. I intend to be on the road for the best part of 3 months pretty constantly with all the stuff I am lining up.
