A Feast for Crows has just this minute arrived at my house. I looooooooooooooove Amazon :D :D

750 odd pages of eagerly awaited reading pleasure sits by me right now, AND I HAVE TO GO TO BLOODY WORK!!!!! Lifes just not fair :(

To all those still waiting for it, I'm not boasting or crowing or .....ah who am I kidding, yes I am hehehe

That's OK mate, suitable punishment will await you upon your arrival home this evening...:p

Ah so you've met my wife then, erm, no, ah that sounds bad. She has actualy threatened to take the book, hide it and and only give me it at Christmas.

The temptation to call in sick is really strong at the moment. I can see the book still, sitting near me like a wanton hussy, whispering "Take me, take me in your hands, caress my virgin white pages, open me up wide and drink your fill. TAAAAAKE MEEEEE!!!"

Oh God, I think I need a lie down. :p

ERR..yeh I think that might be a wise move and while you're at it let me ring for the local head shrink...:D

So what's the expected release date for bookshops etc.. in the UK? I know we won't get this book for a little while in OZ.

It's actually not due for release until next Monday - guess Detritus has got lucky(swine) :)
Hey WS, maybe you could go over to his place and steal the book while he's out and then make some copies for the rest of us at a small charge...:D

According to the local publisher it will be available from next Wednesday here.

HEY I can still hear you ;). I'm at work now so the book can longer tempt me from its little hiding place.

And the release date, yeah i thought it was Monday 17th too, I was expecting it maybe next Tuesday. I got up this morning, walked the dog, sat to read my emails and saw a despatch notice from Amazon, 5 minutes later a knock at the door and Mr Postie is there waiting for me:eek: . No idea why I got it so early. Not that I'm complaining hehe.

ooooo I hate these quote things, they never work for me grrrrr

Man. I am not very envious at all. At. All. Couldn't care less. Especially considering twice - twice! - I was led to believe the book would be out here, ah, three weeks ago. And now to have Gollum tell me it will actually be after - after! - the UK release. But I'm fine. Coping well. Just because I'm curled up in the feotal postion doesn't mean a thing...

Hehhe, god bless amazon! Got a very pleasant surprise just now. Big Amazon books arrived and i was eagerly looking forward to a day of reading knife of dreams (I personally still love The Wheel Of Time, despite the last couple of books being slightly crap) - but KOD wasn't there! Noooooooo! AFFC was instead! :D Hahahaha. Even better. Right, i'm goona disapear now, as i don't have to go out today! Huray!

Bye.

Actually despair not, another contact tells me that the UK-based release date of October 17th includes Australia, so you may not be lacking..:D

Detrius, Detrius, Detrius. You are the first with the book and life is not fair?!?! I still have to wait 31 days for it! Just sit back and enjoy tonight... we all envy you.

Life is not a song, sweetling. You may learn that one day to your sorrow.

Ouch, I'm american and I'm out in the cold for 3 weeks.

I've hooked at least a half dozen friends and family on this series and they've all been ready to kill me because this book took a bit longer than normal. I'll finally be able to go outside without a disguise soon.

It also means I'll have to avoid this site. The temptation to ruin my own reading will be too much.

I hope you all enjoy and Long Live Sansa!! (she's my favorite)

At 38 years of age in my body (if not my mind) I know life not always fair, and after a day spent breaking up fights and running round in circles at work I am really looking forward to just going home and settling down for a bloody good read. :D

I was sulking just slightly this morning at not being able to doss down and lose myself for a while ;)

I didn't know Labour cabinet ministers read epic fantasy.

Personally, I'm waiting for my trip to Norwich before I buy my copy. I figure its only fair to buy it from the shop that's actually going to let me meet the man himself. That'll be one week today. Woot.:D

Edd - Don't make me reach for my longbow...

Don't know Rosemary. I was in town today at Dymocks and they have confirmed the books will be in the Melbourne store next Wednesday for purchase, so guess where I'll be. ...;)

BTW thought you might like to know I just purchased Jordan's WOT Book 11 Knife Of Dreams TODAY at half the RRP MUWHAHAA!!!....:p
