When is everyone coming back to the site?

Well,i just logged on for a quick peek as i only got my copy of feast yesterday, and am only on chapter4,so for the rest of this Sunday i will be reading the book with a c.d of Willie Nelson playing in the background,Bliss.....
It was nice to meet GRRM in Glasgow,a really nice guy,so i won`t be back untill i finish the Feast though i am sure that a lot of fans who have finished it will be heading your way soon Sword of the Morning.

I have no intention of reading any of Martin's books, Perhaps you could use your knowledge of A Feast For Crows to convince me otherwise.

If not, we could use this thread to argue why people shouldn't use the term "feasting" in reference to reading this book. It's far too sensual.

Polymorphikos, why rob yourself the chance to read the best work of fantasy going today. Many may try to argue the fact, but A Song of Ice of Fire is the most acclaimed fantasy epic to appear in a long time. I often urge skeptics to go read the Amazon.com reviews for these books. NO FANTASY gets this kind of praise, except for LOTR of course. :p

Have you tried it before and not liked it?

I started reading the first one and got bored. When I say "no intention" I of course mean "maybe".

Just wondering? I am near finished with A Feast and need to bounch some ideas around and whine about other things.
Ever tried to visit outside of GRRM part of this board ?

You mean the other sites about GRRM, or the rest of this board ?

And think about your answer carefully, there, Sword, or she may get violent.

Am about halfway through Feast, so give me maybe till this weekend, and I'll be up for some discourse.

Poly, KO - I'd urge you to give it one more go. A couple of million fanboys (and girls) can't be wrong. Well written, intricately layered, fast-moving (for the most part), lovingly detailed, immersive like no other book I have ever read. But then if you don't get into, fair enough. It's not for all. But there are some tentacles, KO, though only the painted kind....

Then, meanwhile everyone is busy reading the new book or actively avoid spoilers, come taka a cup or two in the Lounge. ;)

When you invite me to the lounge with that Avatar... I tend to cringe. I think I'll come back in mid-November.
