Anyone reading this? It's a retelling of the Trojan Wars in comic form, published by Image comics. I've only browsed a handful of pages online; the brief bits I read seemed to read very "modern" to me, but I may have simply glanced at the wrong panels. Word of mouth is very good. I'm a fan of historical comics and wish more creators would do them, so I'm likely to check this out. thoughts?

Re: The Bronze Age

It's called The Age of Bronze, apparently. I like the art in this preview issue - I hope the final product is also black and white and the clean line work isn't embalmed in an over-rendered digital painting style. The dialogue does seem very modern in tone, but this looks like it just could be a good comic! Perhaps someone more familiar with the historical background could comment on that aspect?

Re: The Bronze Age

Yes! I was pleasantly impressed by that aspect. Also, it looks like a properly epic re-telling, and will hopefuly counter that ghastly movie, which made the whole Trojan War seem like a weekend picnic by the seaside.

2 trade paperbacks have already been published. You can read more about the series here as well as view more sample art in pdf format.

Seems worth a shot!

I'm thinking the same. I was impressed enough at the small bits I saw and I'm compelled enough at the notion of an epic and faithful retelling of the Trojan Wars in comic form that I'm likely to buy this in the very near future. Probably in the next week or so.

Also, if a mod wouldn't mind, could this thread title be changed to "The Age of Bronze" to accurately reflect the title of the comic?
