Don't know if this has been a thread before, but try to answer anyways. I guess just answer the poll who you think is the best actor/actress and why....if you picked other state who :)

Sorry the following wouldn't fit. If you want them just vote other! :p

Jason Isaacs (Malfoy)
Brendan Gleeson (Mad Eye)
Miranda Richardson (Rita Skeeter)
Julie Walters (Molly Weasley)
Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort)
Timothy Spall (Wormtail)
David Thewlis (Lupin)
Emma Thomspon (Trelawney)

Well, from that list my Favourite Actor was Richard Harris - he just nailed Dumbledore for me, plus I think he's a fabulous actor anyway.

However, I chose to interpret the poll as a choice between the 3 child leads, as I think they come with no 'baggage' or previous performances to influence, so think that would have been a more interesting poll.

So I picked Emma Watson as I just find Rupert Grint & Daniel Radcliffe a little too cardboard in their portrayal of their characters, but I think Emma brought a little more depth to the role than is really in the book.

My 2c

I finally choosed Robbie Coltraine (Hagrid). It's very difficult to make up your mind when you have more than one favorite.

I'm not a fan of Snape, but I must to admit the actor Alan Rickman is not bad at all. I like also Richard Harris and Maggie Smith.

I'm going to go with Winters_Sorrow here and choose between the three 'unknowns'. Daniel Radcliffe has the goofiest/insincere smile I've seen in a long while so it turns me off. Emma Watson seems to overact a bit - though not too bad. Rupert Grint has just made me fall in love...in a manner of speaking ;) . He's playing his part to the T, he's got the mobility of face to show the differing emotions, to speak without speaking. Maybe he's just gotten all the best lines, but I like him best.

I must admit, the only performances I enjoyed were Maggie Smith and Richard Harris, but I haven't seen the fourth film yet, so can't comment on some of those listed. I'm not a fan of Coltraine as Harid. He looks to much like the Ghost of Christmas Present from the Muppets Christmas Carol:eek:

Voted for Maggie Smith, because she is consistantly the best, IMHO

Alan Rickman (Snape) i thought was the best character from HP. he transforms into the character so well and plays a good character that gives of the vibe of being a bad person who is converted to a good kind of guy. and i like that!

I finally went with Emma Watson. Having seen her cardboard acting in the first film, she has come on leaps and bounds with her acting ability, and is now a very believable character.

Alan Rickman for me. He's become even more enjoyable as the movies go forward. Eventhough I've kind of been disapointed about some of the things in the last two. He has remained one of my favorite onscreen characters. :D I also like Malfoy as well. I just wish they wouldn't write him as such a wimpy person onscreen. Tom Felton does a wonderful job of being a real snob.

I would change my vote to Ralph Fiennes, if I could. By far and away the best single scene in the entire four films so far...
