I think we can all agree we felt pretty good about sansa at the end of AFFC. I know that when Littlefinger told her about Harry the heir and his plan to get the lords of the Vale to back her up while she reclaimed winterfell. But do you think this will happen?

The way I see it the cranogmen will come over to Sansa's side as soon as she nears Moat Cailin, the other northemen are still very iffy and the karstarks and boltons will obviously oppose her to hold onto their own domination of the north. We can't forget what the ironborn might be doing while this fighting is going on.

So will the lords of the vale support sansa and help here reclaim winterfell? Can winterfell be taken just by the Vale Lords? Or will Sansa just wait around till Dany shows up and throw her support in their.

Oh and as a sidethought what do you guys think will be littlefingers next move.

I don't think there's a chance Sansa will get wide spread support from the Vale Lords, or even a decent amount of support.

I worry about Littlefinger, I can't imagine him being all selfless in this. He's playing a game with Sansa and I don't think it's one that's intended to benefit her.

I don't see the rebuilding of Winterfell until the end of the series. :(

I don't know that Sansa will support Dany ever, I'm thinking more that she'll throw whatever weight she has behind Jon. I think that there might be an alliance between Jon and Dany so maybe it'll flow to Dany.

Sansa is my favorite, but I don't see a clear path for her yet. I can't imagine Harold the heir coming to fruition, but that'd be great if it does. My lack of foresight may be due to my wish for Sansa/Sandor.

I can't see what would be in it for the Vale Lords, myself, helping Sansa reclaim the North. Sure, they'd gain an ally, but a weak one, and lose thousands of men in the process. And they have already shown a reluctance to get involved in affairs outside the Vale. I don't see the Crannogmen supporting her either, and they don't have the numbers to be a force anyway. I don't know what's in store for her, and I'm not afraid to admit it...

Something is mighty weird about the way Littlefinger keeps asking for a kiss when he sees his daughter. He's too devious by a fair bit for my liking. I'm wondering about the legitimacy of any Sansa marriage.

I don't think Sansa and Tyrion ever, umm, consumated the wedding but she's married under the 7 gods to Tyrion? I don't believe it's a legal marriage if you're already married to someone else.

Maybe I missed an annullment, if there is such a thing in Westeros, or maybe it's not legitimate until consumated. Even if that's the case she'd have to get Tyrion to testify or people would think she's lying? Maybe she's still got the proof of her virginity so she'd have some proof without him.

I want a Sandor/Sansa wedding with Arya no-face being the maid of honor.

Tywin told Tyrion in SoS that he should bed his wife because it could be reversed by the High Septon if he hasn't consumated the relationship.

I think that it's possible the marriage could be annulled but I think that it'd have to be annulled before she marries again.

I'm not sure she can just go and say that they never did anything and get the annullment without Tyrion there and just to go and try would reveal her location to enemies.

It seems like a tricky situation to be in. I can't help but think that if she's marrying an important noble that there would be an opportunity for someone to recognize her and for the whole can of worms to be tipped over.

I just don't see Alaynne marrying anyone, then she might just be spoiled goods as Sansa. Sansa will marry under her legal name... Baelish will use it to tip the scales more in his favor.

Sansa will have to reveal herself at some point- hopefully after Littlefinger has enough support behind himself. His motivation seems a little unclear at this point- perhaps it will be his way of finally sticking it to both Ned and Brandon Stark, if he marries Sansa and obtains Winterfell as his own. He would get the girl as well as all of the lands and titles he lacked when he wanted to have Cat for his own.

Regarding Sansa's maidenhood, I believe that could be proven in the same manner that Margaery's was found lacking- through tests done by maesters and/or members of the clergy.

Regardless of what happens with Sansa, she'll have to take greater care choosing her words. She already let it slip that she knew who Jon Snow was- something that Alayne never would have known. I'm almost certain that Lady Myranda has figured it all out.

I think Sansa will get the north, or the Vale depending on Brans future. There is just to much going on for Dany to spend much time with the north. It will get sorted out by itself. Robbs loyal houses will help Sansa (depending on Bran) . I don't think we've seen the last of the Greatjon. He might get Bolton.

Or there may not be a happy ending for the Starks. Wouldn't put it pass GRRM. Maybe Stannis or Danys might take everything.

Thus far, the Starks have done a fine job as wardens of the North, and have generally inspired a great deal of loyalty from the lesser lords and ladies there. If Daenerys aspires to be a good ruler, which I think she does, it would be unwise of her to completely uproot all of the major power figures who are in place, and replace them with her own. Cersei did this, and it has ultimately led her to where she is now. I think Dany will figure out that certain people and certain traditions will need to stay in order for her rule to be successful. She has already seen in some of the slave cities that completely undermining "the way it has always been done" does not get the best and most seamless results.

There was a happy beginning. They watched a nice little execution. They found the direwolves. Ned got a promotion, and decided to move the family to the big smoke. And then things went south. Literally and figuratively.

I think littlefinger wants to marry sansa himself and he is not going to let her marry Harry the heir. Littlefinger wants his catelyn and in sansa he clearly sees the Catelyn he couldn't have.

Indeed. In addition, if he marries Sansa off, he is relinquishing any power he has over her.

I think that eventually, Sansa will come to the realization that instead of sitting around waiting to be saved, she's going to have to be proactive and make her own plans, without letting Littlefinger in on them.

Yep. I think eventually Sansa is gonna beat Littlefinger in the game of thrones. But she better smarten the F#@* up.

I think she is beginning to get the hang of things. She seemed to carry herself fairly well in AFFC IMO.
Ill miss her in the next book!

I really dont think that Littlefinger is going to help Sansa. Littlefinger only loves Littlefinger and Catelyn. Littlefinger has Sansa in the pale if his hand and must likely will use her to his benefit and/or take her maidenhood. He is playing some series mind games with Sansa.

I thought Littlefinger simply sees Sansa as a Catelyn-by-proxy - ie, he still loves cat, but Sansa's the nearest he can get.

As for Sansa and Winterfell - it seems that most people presume that Sansa is the heir to Winterfell - but Bran is alive and well (or was the last time we saw him), which means that he's the current heir to Winterfell.

That's possibly the unravelling of that aspect of Petyr's plan - like everyone else, he has no reason to believe that Bran or Rickon are alive.
