How many people plan on reading Feast again? I know I want to, I just don't have the time at the moment (work seven days a week). I find I always get new insights and catch things I might have missed in the first read. Just wondering who was going to read it again.

Ill definately read again before moving onto the next! Not only for the pleasure of it, but to refresh my memory and hopefully catch some things I didnt catch before!

I just started re-reading it last night (except certain chapters that were released as spoilers, which I know very well by now). I feel like I may have missed things in my rabid first read. I want to read it slowly and calmly now.:)

I'll reread it, but probably not until the new year. Also, when I start a reread it is generally form book one, so now that is gonna be a journey of some undertaking.

Ditto.

I've also got quite a few books in my to read pile so it'll have to be after i've gone through them (which probably won't be til after christmas now), and then erikson's new book is out in the new year, so i'll have to re-read them, and then the last in the prince of nothing series should be out early 2006 as well, and then........

I'll re-read it as well; I'm flying to CA and back next Monday/Tuesday...and I can't sleep on the plane...:)

I am going to wait until aDwD comes out and try to read every other chapter in each book to see if it will be more like reading the first three.

I have started re-reading GoT for right now.

Instead of re reading the book again I always like to get the audio book and listen to it the second time. If anyone has listened to his audio books you know that the guy who does the reading is fantastic and really helps to bring the characters to life. I seem to catch more things I missed when reading by listening as well.

I'm going to read it again, although I've read AFfC already. I feel as if I've missed certain parts earlier. Does anyone know when the next one is coming out?

I hope I'm not taking away from this site by doing this but there's an ASoIaF fan site that is doing a cool re-read chapter by chapter.

I think they've done the Prologue, Sam 1 and Brienne. At least that's all I've seen done there.

It's amazing the things that come out when a bunch of people focus like that.

I had always wanted to listen to the ausio books, but that changed when my friend told me about how disturbing it was to hear male voices doing all the female character's "sex" talk.

Just creepy if you ask me!!!!

LMAO.......Well as much as I do like the audio books I got to admit your friend has a point. It was always a little creepy listening to Roy Dotrice doing the voices of ygrette and shae when they were having sex.

But really I wouldn't let that stop you ....the audio books are still well worth it . ;)

Did he chage his voice for the girls?....I do not know if I could listen to that...I would feel dirty after hearing it read by a guy.

This is an interesting idea. Maybe we could steal it in a year or four when we're all going stir crazy over A Dance with Dragon delays....

If we are going to be reading ASOIAF and doing voice characterizations... then I nominate Arya Underfoot as Sansa; I, Brian as Stannis, Raven as Aemon, Culwch as Sam, Trey as Theon or Jaime, Dolorous Edd for dual roles of Dolorous Edd and Ned Stark, Cssndra as King Robert, asdar as Littlefinger, and myself as UnCat.

1. I'm trying to be humorous.

2. I'm implying that you are thoughtful and insighful just like Sam.

3. I'm trying to stir up some discussion and controversy in a round about way of saying "Who is most like this character and who is most like that character?"

1. I figured.

2. I'm flattered.

3. I'm glad you didn't make me the Mountain. Or the Goat. Or Loras. Though I'd probably have gone for Davos myself....
