to announce that someone is forming a Mark Robson fanclub! :eek:

I was approached last week by an employee of WH Smith who is something of a fan. She wants to set up a web based club for those who are fans of my work. I'm not sure yet what format this is going to take, but the young lady has already gathered a small group together who are looking to set the ball rolling.

I'll post developments here as and when they emerge.
 
Not be long till they start dressing up as your characters at 'cons then, Mark?

Watch out for them at the Worldcon next year! :D

They will be directed here, Brian, as this will remain my home forum. I've already suggested this as a gathering place. The organiser has indicated that their site will be linked to this one. As she develops her ideas, I'll get her to touch base with you to see if there is any mutual back-scratching that can be done. :)

And WS ... wouldn't that be something! To see characters from my work brought to life - the question would then be, would I recognise them?

There's one thing Mark is very good at, and that's being focused at achieving his goals. Being successful takes hardwork, patience, and determination. And if it can be done with a little help from his friends, I say do it. :)
 
And it won't belong Mark until you can't walk down the street without someone running after you for your autograph. Where is it you live! :D :D
 
You'll have to let us know when it opens formally, Mark - just so dwndrgn, rune & I can get some of the 'low number' memberships! ;)

Would you believe this happened on Sunday?! :eek: I believe my anonymity is fading.

And WS - having mentioned it, I can hardly not then keep you informed ... no matter how much I may blush to do so.
 
Could be worse Mark. You could be one of those famous guys, like Tom Jones, that get women throughing knickers at them. Fancy having Bridge Jones type pants flying your way :D :D :D

Well considering his focus reader group - this comment may not be appropriate. They may throw pieces of Lego or Scaletrix at you however. :)

Congratulations good man! I still need to order your books and Kelpies too. I have neglected you both for so long now.
 
Hey Mark,next thing you'll know is that your books are being made into a film
 
:) i think they could make it into the film industry.
but i probably wouldn't watch them as i love my imagination too much for it to be cast into a mould by a film :)
