So I decide to preorder The Crown of Stars this last week, just incase it came in early. The last book came in a week early at Barnes and Noble. Well, on Friday this last week I get a call from B&N telling me my book is in.

Wooooo Hoooo

I dance around the house giving all the kids kisses. Im finally going to learn who the heck Alain is!!! Only draw back to this whole thing... I have to wait until Wednesday to pick it up... no money until then. :(

*sighs*

I can wait... just a few more days... *sighs* I hope!

I thought I would cheat... So yesterday I went into the book store, the same one that called me and has my book, to find a copy. I thought I would go in and sit down and read as much as possible before Wednesday (yeah Im really out of money until then) and there isn't any on the bookshelves. So I asked a clerk. He told me that they didn't have in yet. Okay...
Apparently they can't put them on the shelves until the Feb 7th. But if we preorder them then we can get them early. I actually like that idea, but I wish I had the money to get it. :(

And Im only halfway through book 4...Do we Know who Alain is yet?
I thought I had answered that question already and someone had deleted my reply... but I see what has happen. I answered it in a different post...

Well, Im into the first 100 pages and it talks about Alain alot, you do see him often, but nothing has been said YET! It's an interesting twist on where he's at though. Im wondering what Kate has in store for him since I didn't see him ending up where he's at.

I'm up through the first 200 pages (out of 540 pages). Alain is still in that interesting twist. I still don't know who he is, but he is fully aware of who he is and he as a plan, several of them now. I'm still not sure how things are going to come together. I have yet to see Antonia or Hugh in this book, or my name sake... Alia. But I know that their time is coming up soon.

You did answer in a different thread Alia. Thanks

Just finished book five and will be starting In The Ruins tonight,Have to say I was ready to give up after book three but I'd really started to feel for certain characters and needed to find out what was going to happen to them.Glad I did because The Gathering Storm was almost impossible to put down:)

You see, patience is a definite virtue....:p

Okay, has anyone else finished it yet? Any thoughts? I'd like to discuss it but I don't want to post any spoilers for anyone who's only partway through.

I haven't finished it yet, Arya. I'm about half way through. But feel free to post your thoughts, maybe make a new thread with 'spoilers' in the title to let people know that there are spoilers talked about in the thread. :)

This is motivation to finish. Glad you finished reading it. Did you like the series in general?

I loved the series in general! I want to wait a year or so and then re-read, though. I feel like I missed some things. But all in all I thought that the ending was satisfying, although I'm incredibly sad to have finished. There's nothing like the first read of a good book!

Aye and that really says it right there, here is a series worth sticking with till the end. I personally just started book 3 of this wonderful series and I have up to book 6 coming in the mail.:D

Amazon just delivered me book 6 today and assure me that book 7 is on its way. I am putting off reading a Feast for Crows to finish this series. The series seesm to get better from midway through the Burning Stone onward. Though I find little patience for Liath the more I read.

I have a love/hate relationship with Liath. I sympathise with her to some extent, but sometimes I feel she has an aggravating lack of common sense.
