for sometime now I've been thinking they are the only major player w/o a POV....apart from rumours and speculation that family is pretty much a mystery. To this day I'm not sure whether or not Margaery knew/knows about her grandmother orchestrating Joffery's poisoning. But I'm torn about giving them their own POV..would it give too much of the Game away to the readers or would it create more suspense.

And when Margaery falls..will they still be a player? Do they have any more pawns in the game? Or, is everything staked on Margaery?

Depends where the PoV is focussed.
Garlan & Mace are probably occupied by the death & pillage being waged on their coastline at the moment.
Margery & Loras look to be out of the picture, so I'm not sure what value a Tyrell PoV would be at this point.

I actually hope that Loras gets a POV. Especially with Jaime away from King's Landing. It would answer many questions re: his "relationship" with his sister, the Tyrell's role in any plot to bring down the Lannisters, their alligiance to Dany (if any), the role in Joff's murder and who is really pulling the strings. I also see a possibility for Loras to become a Sparrow due to his injuries, inability to fight, etc.

But my take on the Tyrell's is that apart from Olenna, they don't seem to be the brightest bulbs on the X-Mas tree. They will easily follow a Targaryen when Dany when she makes her entrance (unless they get drunk with power in Cersei's absence).

yes..they don't seem very bright..which is confusing because to be described as Lannisters with flowers...I expect a lot more from them...mebbe Margaery will surprise us yet..I mean the Queen of Thorns must have planned to pass her legacy onto someone

I think maybe Margaery might of known that he wouldn't be around long, she didn't seem to concerned about how awful he was and almost hinted at Sansa that he wouldn't be a problem. She also latched right onto Tommen pretty quickly and started guiding him well which may indicate that she was prepared for such a role with a more malleable husband.

I think Margaery will surprise us. When Sansa was socialising with the Tyrell's, Margaery showed more than just a flicker of intelligence and I very much got the impression that the Queen of Thorns had indeed taken Margaery under her wing. Margaery is not one to be struck off just yet methinks...

With the exception of Loras and Mace Tyrell, I think the rest of them are intelligent. We simply haven't really seen enough of them to gauge just how intelligent...

I'd like to see a POV of Willas Tyrell. He's removed from King's Landing but probably knows a great deal of what's going on in the kingdom.

Yes, you are probably right on this. She was shown a few glimpses that she's got something going on upstairs. She sure goes through husbands like underwear though...Although non of her husbands actually get to take off her underwear...

Now the question remains from the OP... did Margaery know that Olenna was going to poison Joffrey?

I don't think so... because Margaery's reaction needed to be genuine. Cersei was sure to be like a bloodhound to find Joffrey's killer so Margaery needed to be above suspicion. I'm sure Margaery now knows that her grandmother planned the poisoning. During the betrothal, Olenna would have constantly assured Margaery that Joffrey would never hurt her... that grandma would take care of her.

Littlefinger seemed to know all about it... I expect he and Olenna cooked up the whole murder when he went to Highgarden in the middle of ACOK. Tyrion gave the mission of forging an alliance with the Tyrells to Littlefinger... and thus dooming his nephew.

Boaz: a bit risky if Marge didn't know, though, given that the poison was in a vessel she was sharing with Joff. (I know there are other theories about that, they don't stand up for a second. The poison was in the wine.)

She had to know to be safe. Besides, her conduct beforehand strongly suggests she knew.

you all have good points about the young queen
Boaz and Raven I see logic in both your statements
I just can't make up mind
I hope she's not off'd before we find out how sharp her thorns are
