Mentioning her name in another topic prompted me to ask the question, "Why is there no thread here for Rosemary Edghill?"
As the obvious answer was, "Because you haven't started one, Kelpie," here we are.
She began her writing career as eluki bes shahar (yes, that's her real name, though not, I fancy, the one she was born with). Under that name she wrote science fiction.
As Rosemary Edghill, she's published in the fantasy, mystery, and romance genres. She's collaborated with iconic authors like Andre Norton, Mercedes Lackey, and Marion Zimmer Bradley. She's edited at least one anthology (Murder by Magic), and she's so prolific and versatile I'm probably skipping over half her accomplishments -- but who can keep track?
While I enjoyed her SF Hellflower trilogy, and her fantasy series, The Twelve Treasures and Shadow of Albion to name just a fraction of her output, I have to admit that her mysteries are my favorites. They feature a neo-pagan witch named Bast -- who I suspect is a sort of alter-ego for eluki herself -- and they manage to be highly amusing yet still suitably grisly and suspenseful. She's also pulled off a plot-twist in one book that I've never seen another mystery writer duplicate.
Is anyone else familiar with this multi-talented author? With 33 books (and numerous short-stories) to her credit, it seems likely that many of us here will have read something of hers.
