Been really busy, but I'm back in action. I've been spending time keeping up with the other sections that I don't moderate - I missed y'all!!!

I'm in Dallas - we haven't had much rain. Houston is under so much water, the Red Cross has set up catastrophic rescue teams. And it's not over yet. The storm has moved over Louisiana, and is still partially on land, moving toward Florida . . . and it's not even officially a hurricane! WOW!

And, yes, I would still go through the Gate!

Gosh, Texane I am really glad YOU don't have to go through the gate to avoid the flooding! Heard that there was 36 inches of rain in many parts of Texas from that tropical storm! Looks as if Dallas lucked out on this one! Thank goodness!

Not too sure I'd want to be on the team going to a new planet for the first time, though. With my lousy eyesight and my blown knee I'd probably get blown away in by the first jaffa we met, but it'd be great to be on one of those follow-up teams.
