I think most people consider Apophis to be the SL they'd like to see more of with Hathor being a close second. I know I was disappointed when they 'killed' Apophis in Serpent's Song and slapped myself and jumped for joy when they brought him back in The Devil You Know.
One reason, I like Peter Williams (and 1 point for anyone who can name the episode of MacGyver he was in).

Another reason is because he seemed to give SG1 the most trouble out of all the SLs out there.

So which SLs would you like to see brought back in future episodes?

Which ones do you see as the biggest threat?

Knowing that the creators pull from all of our mythologies, who would you think would make a good 'SL of the Week'?

Cheers,

I wanna see Yu. He was a cool SL. Seemed to be kinder than the rest. Just a tad though.

I would love for there to be more than Middle Eastern gods as villians. Perhaps their are some system lord with roots in the America's, The Celtic World and any where on earth. Maybe their are system lords named Loki and Hela. Who knows maybe the being that we know as Satan is a System Lord.

The Aztec would have to have some type of SL gods in it? WOuldn't it?

Didnt Sokar take on the role of Satan?
If they have SL that have taken on name of the norse myths (not to mention the ASGARD) then they were close enought geographically speaking to pick up on Celt myths.

I agree that Mayan and Aztec gods would be an interesting addition (they were a bloody group after all)

They may have already skirted the Aztec with the episode Learning Curve. We didn't find out who the Goa'uld was that was involved there.
And yes, Sokar was the personification of Satan.

I would also like to see some of the Middle Eastern and Eastern philosophies used. It would round out things rather well.

Cheers,

It's clear ... it's APOPHIS !!!

i'd like to see Apophis again in the series !!

i hate the moment (series) where Apophis died 'cos it is my favourite character in stargate.
i have heard that Apophis will return but i live in austria and we're about @ the 3rd staff, 6th film ...

that's also the reason why the stargate section of my homepage is dedicated to Apophis (but it is small yet but i am working to make it much bigger :))

i like peter williams 'cos he play his role very, very good but unfortunately i haven't find a fan site of him yet -- can anybody help me ?? thx :)

don't forget: !!!!! APOPHIS WILL LIVE FOREVER !!!!!

greetings from austria,

I hadn't thought of him, but what a good choice!

And how about the disappearing gal from the treaty episode? She's still mad that someone dropped a house on her sister! Evil!

And did the set builders do a fab job on that set!

LThe MAYAN AND AZTEC GODS are another really good choice. You guys need to make BRAD WRIGHT put y'all on his payroll as writers: you really have the big picture down! (and, in case you want to know the legal end, that's the other half [budget/ratings] of getting Showtime to sign on with money for more seasons - writing for the big picture (half of a season's idea, and waiting to see what the viewers think just doesn't cut it with the guys at HBO and Showtime - they move too fast, and want their shows to do the same. It's a good solid gameplan, 11 solid epys at a time, that will get you fully funded.

GO TO IT PEOPLE!!!

And if they want to get to some real power players, I would suggest they look into Attila the Hun, the Great Charlemagne, possibly Cleopatra (they seem to have a massive amount of miracle bras on set), and somewhere down the road, the System Lords must have made the mistake of moving a few legions of Rome with a leader or two, or maybe even a chariott arena. And what would we get from them:

Attilla: weaponry.
Charlemagne: knowledge of where the SL left to
Cleopatra: information prior to the fire of the great Library, Egyptian tombs and who is really in them [Perhaps another lost stargate.]
Romans: strategy, anthropological finds, finds taken from other lands conquered, maps, particularly of Egypt.

I'll think of more later..> more Goa'uld weaponry and healing devices may be available.

i'd like to see more eps with apophis ...

since he was dead much eps were without him ... but 2 weeks ago he resurrected in europe :)

hope the coming eps will contain more apophis ...

We need to have Maybourne torture him for info about how he cloaks his entire fleet of ships.

Yeah, I'd like to see Cleopatra sometime. Apophis is kewl, I liked Nirrti, and I didn't like the way they dragged her off - I'm at the mo tryin to find a way to rescue her!

BTW, it's kinda off topic, but when I was readin up about Aztecs/Maya's, turns out there was a city called Tollan. think one of the producers is perhaps a Tok'ra from the Aztec times?!

<- that's him in disguise, btw!

Well, even if they just keep to the SL's who are impersonating the Egyptian mythology, there are 9 (nine) "Gods" in the classic Egyptian Ennead.

We have seen Seth, Ra, Hathor, Apophis, Heru-ur and Sokar (all of whom I think Daniel translated into members of the nine). Which would still leave three - but my recollections of a) the nine, and b) Daniels attributions, to deduce who we have not yet seen.

How about the Hindu goddess Kali, seen as "destroying life and giving it" - sounds like taking hosts to me!

Or Siva (Shiva), Hindu god of destruction and reproduction (sex and death).
