"Nice top you got there Sam" is probably something that most of thought O'Neill would say. I wonder what would have happened to everyone if they hadn't locked them up? Somewhat good episode. It put Daniel and Teal'c in the spot light a bit. I give it a 6 out of 10.

I agree, it was a nice early opening episode but certainly nothing special. But then you can't expect it to the that early on.

Actually think that some of the 1st season episodes were the best of the series.
There must have been several more people in the SGC taking antihistamines besides Janet or she wouldn't have had any help at all in controlling those affected.

It's nice to know there is some benefit to having allergies and taking meds for them. <G>

Cheers,

If anyone wants to read the script to this ep I'd be happy to send it to you!

I was thinking about that antihystamine tablets and how most of the base must of been taking them. pretty good ep, i enjoyed :)

Well, as its been a year since anyone posted on this thread - and having just watched this epp again on Sky One last night I thought I'd add my bit.

I like this one, I know it was one of the early ones and the relationships between everyone were still finding their feet, but it did have a bit of a shippy feel. I love the scene where Daniel asks Jack what happened to him - he is all scratched up - and Jack says that Carter tried to 'seduce' him. Daniel just looks at him for a mo and then says 'oh, you poor man' the sarcasm was just dripping from that line !

Also, I noticed when Sam had Jack in the headlock/clinch and she asked him if he wanted her - he said something like 'not like this' ah ha - early signs of shippiness there !

PLUS - once he became infected he got real jealous of Daniel saying he cared for Sam

Oh my god, its happened, I've turned into a shipper - what can I do ????????

:iiworry:

shipper - one who looks for romance ..........................
most popular - jack/sam shippers
although there are still the daniel/janet shippers and the strange sam/daniel and sam/teal'c shippers but they're not a large a group as the sam/jack shipper s.......... if u get my drift - geez I had rambling ...........:D

werid huh ?

but dun worry - that particular species is few and far between :smilej: :freak1:

True.
I've noticed that the trend seems to be a Janet/Teal'c combination.

On another note, I just loved how Janet calls Teal'c, "Mr. Teal'c" in this episode. It's so hilarious.

Yeah , I don't know about Janet / Teal'c, but I am definitely a Sam/Jack Shipper. Without a doubt.
I love the look on Sam's face at the end of the ep, when she finds out that Jack did remember what she had done!
That was priceless!

Shocked, silent, abashed then something else ............. ?

hehehe ......

;) ;) :rolly2: ;) ;)

Exactly, it was totally priceless! Her emotions play across her face!¬

Now, not one of my most favorite espisodes, but enlightening and insightful nonetheless. Some explosions, techical jargon, and moral issues addressed in the plot of the storyline. Also, the the evolutionary model expressed as the origins of life. I don't think that it deserves 5/5 or 4/4 simply because it was slow moving and not as quickly paced as some other episodes. I will not ignore the effort the actors and producers put into the show, but am critiquing the actual story of the episode. I believe this episode develops the Teal'c charther. It also develops the nature of the secrecy of the mountain. Remember again that this is one of the first 10 episodes ~ many storylines and character developments haven't surfaced.

out of five, I'll rate it 3.25/5

An episode worth watching.
