2.15: A Matter Of Time

yeah -- i do it all the time at work -- there's something i can't figure out and i call the person who can help and i start explaining what's wrong and then this lightbulb goes off and it's like *BANG*! then 'duh! i knew that!' <smack forehead> and problem solved --

then again, sometimes you need a 2nd set of eyes to look at something and see what you've been staring at the last hour --

so, no, I dont' think Sam was talking downt o Teal'c, I think she was using his listening skills to explain what she needed to explain to herself -- (did that make sense?)

well season 2 id the only season of 5 that I've only seen once & on computer at that so I don't really have any 2 cents to add, but I do talk to my calculator when doing math:D

i've just seen this episode so many times -- it's one of my faves

partly b/c of Major D, but there are other parts too -- it's just a nice ep all around

I like that they managed to squeeze so much science and maths in to one ep!! It was kewl, and I could understand most of it!

yeah - they put a lot of stuff in this episode -

including Jack being intelligent - YAY! Smart Jack stuff!

I really hate it when they 'dumb him down' - it takes away from the show --

There is NO way he could be 'the big dumb guy' and be in the position and rank he is ---

I agree, don't liek the way they make such a contrast between Sam and Jack

maybe Jack just likes listening to Sam explain things & so acts dumb?

But wouldn't she respect him so much more if they could have intellectual discussions?!

Maybe she likes explaining stuff to him! God knows I would! It's an excuse to spend time with him. Find me a woman on Earth who wouldn't want to spend time with a guy like him?!?:naughty: It's the losest thing they will ever get to a fishing trip while they are under the same command. *sigh*

lol, I've got ages til my next alien. And I disagree, I think Sam would want an intellectual husband (think of the IQ of their children!), but I can see the SJ'ers would disagree.

Jack is smarter than he pretends to be, technical mummble jummble just bores him, me too for that matter

Judging by the way he rolls his eyes, and cuts her off, I kinda doubt it. Also, I agree with Kelsi, I'm sure Sam would want a guy who shared her intellectual interests, or at least didn't make his boredom quite so obvious.

(Ducks to avoid rocks thrown by shippers.)

All in all this was a decent episode. I liked the interaction between Jack and Cromwell.

another excellent point about this episode -- a bit of character info on Jack - his time spent in Iraq --

I love character development - and sometimes we just don't get very much ---- it was nice in this ep ----
