Zat Gun

I don`t think we are supposed to think about this but I`ll give answering it a go.

One possible reason for SG-1 not carrying Goa`uld technology around is because so many cultures believe the Goa`uld are gods and some don`t exactly like them too much. If Teal`c carries a staff weapon and a zat (which we`ve seen hanging off his belt many times) then it`s ok cos he`s a Jaffa and it`s pretty obvious cos of the gold emblem and the pouch. But if the whole team wore Goa`uld zat guns and staff weapons they`d look like Goa`uld cos it`s obvious tehy ain`t Jaffa. Plus, in Foothold when Davis and O`Neill were at the armory, atleast four zat guns were visible on a shelf. Why didn`t Davis get a zat rather than getting that other weapon? Zats work quicker. Plus Staff weapons, although powerful, are alot harder to use in confined spaces because of their size. MP-5`s are much better in those situations.

And I think the Zat blasts gets through the Jaffa armour becaue it`s made of Naquadah (I think) and Naquadah is very conductive. One zat blast would probably kill a baby cos the effect of the zats depend on the size of the body and how much area the blast has to spread itself over, but because the Asgard have thick-lookin skin they`d probably be ok.

Zat`nik`tels being sold in shops, that`d be so kool. I could kill everyone who`s ever crossed my path and no one would know about it cos there`d be no body.
