Hammond

For a mag with the quality they have, it's not that bad a price. I've thought about subscribing to it, but always looked at my budget and said no. Especially after adding on the extra shipping for sending it to the US.

Cheers,

I guess it's not a terrible price. It's just psychological with me - it seems less traumatic to buy each magazine one a month than pay all that $$ in one lump sum. But if I was certain that every issue would include SG-1, I'd subscribe in a minute!

Okay but I'm scared that i will subscribe to a whole lot of hogswash? ie, articles on shows i have never heard of... and then a little half a page article on Stargate......
$53 is still a lot of money for me, i already have $200 worth of Stargate stuff ordered....

i understand that and it is why i have not subscribed. Most of the news can be got from the internet. I would prefere to buy dvd of episodes.

Heh, yeah I may think about it in the future... but in the mean time i just spent $100 on series two vids, so am flat broke>

This was posted in another chat. The person involved went to gatecon and was at a panel discussion that had Gary Jones, the Tech. Seargent Davis, older man with glasses. Well he said that the official name of his character was not Tech Sergeant Harriman Davis but Tech Sergeant Walter Davis.

WALTER!
Never, that poor man will forever be Harriman Davis, darn them I thought they read these type of boards. Listen to me his name IS HARRIMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cap't Crash,

Scout, the lady that runs the Gary Jones Web site also feels that way. She will settle for Walter HARRIMAN Davis,
Canon/Fanon compromise, but she preferrs Harriman Davis! As do you and I!

Who else thinks that Harriman is simply the best? Especially in There But For the Grace ...... (blah) how he goes physco with a gun, he if funny :_)

Am trying to find Scout's web site for Gary Jones. He is a riot and he set his humor off at Gatecon, and was a he was a huge hit during his panel!

Again THANK YOU!! VERA, you are a life saver. Have had trouble getting into the site to post. It took me an hour to get into this site and make a post. Needless to say... groan. Thank you again! That NEEDS to be said!

I've seen Don Davis in many roles (and many of them milatary). I have always liked him as an actor.

I loved him in "Upgrades" when he said (approximately), "I thought those devices were supposed to enhance their capabilities, not make them stupid!"

I, also, am an old Dan Davis fan since the days of "Twin Peaks", he played Major Garland Briggs. but I discovered that he played the doctor in Guess Who's Talking with Kristie Alley and John Travolta" in the same year. And I have seen him in many other things. But he gave a interview that I read in connection with Twin Peaks that had me rolling on the floor. That was when I really started liking him! Have seen him in many roles since then...mostly non-military! Like him best when he poays a semi-villian. Would have loved to seen him in "Slick Air". Oh, well.
