It was series one Tin Man (near end of series) and she has died 4 years previously. We are on Series 4 so that should be 7 years ago..

The dude must have issues if he hasn't remarried ~in this age group there are about 5 women to every man.

yep. i tend to think of it as a comibnation of not wanting to lose another wife coupled with running a top secret facility and the huge demands on his life that'll make...and maybe he just loved her so much he doesn't want to replace her
