He might me bad and very clever, but he is also kinda cool... i mean the way he squeezes things in and gets out of sticky situation (re, SoG)
What is everyone else opinion on Maybourne?

nah, it istn't him making it. I am sure he has a lot of people above him directing it. They just get him to do their dirty work for them because he has no morals. (or dubious ones perhaps.. see our little morality thread!)

Harry and Apophis are two of the villians i Love to hate!
When they are on Tom BacBeath and Peter Williams rock the show! They are fun to watch and the writers must have fun getting them in and out of tight places! Would like to have seen how Harry got into Russia and out of Watergate! Have to wait for Chain Reaction though.

Yuck - Maybourne. He makes my skin crawl. The only thing I love about his appearances is Jack's reactions to him, i.e. dirty looks, threats "I'm not going to hit you, I'm going to shoot you," "For crying out loud!" etc.

I think it is fun how even Sam and Teal'c get angry at him. Jack gets angry at most people, Daniel is also quick to voice his opinion but Teal'c and Sam are slower - it is funny how much he annoys them as well. (in the same way Seantor Kinglsey set off Teal'c in Politics)!

Yeah i like your comments on SG-1 padders quite correct, Jack just jumps in anywhere, Daniel says what he feels needs to be done, Sam prefers to bring in Science, and Teal'C just sits in to corner with the "Jaffa" look on his face, occasionally opening his mouth.....

I love to hate them. With outMaybourn and Apophis the SG-1 and the SGC would not be such a fun place. What could we hate (Goa'uld, Heru re Sokar Hathor Osiris Chronos Nemurti, Yew)? These two are the best! Our stand out villians.

Yeah with Apohpis being just pure evil and Maybourne being a good villan (Meaning that his on earth)
I reckon Sokar was also pretty cool, words cannoty describe him....

I adore Maybourne--he's my fourth favorite character! I love ambiguous/mildly good characters, and you've gotta admit--he IS working for the good of Earth...as he sees it. I hope he comes back for lots more episodes.
