Hi len,

if you are taling about here don't be nervous. We are a great friendly community so you have no worries there. In fact, welcome to the site i hope you come to love it as much as we all do.

As far as egroups email lists go, i am not really experienced with them but sure they have nice communities going so again i am sure you have no need to feel nervous there.

Welcome to the site!

Thanks everybody for welcome. I am not very familiar with e-groups, so it takes me little bit more time to organize myself.

HI! Len

Don't worry just come on in and enjoy yourself. Organization is for administrators anyway!

yup - we do the boring stuff so you can have fun. You can pretty much do no wrong here so just talk away :)

Nazdárek, Len!

Evropská sekce èeká. ;)

That's great! I have spent many, many hours at his site just gazing at the pics.

I am glad, it is not often that people can't afford too much traffic even if it is for graphics. It is just finding a method of making it pay for itself!

Hurrah!

Glad to hear that. He has wonderful pics and a user friendly site. That is great to hear! I was crying about January!

WOW

That's a great news. Thanks for the info. Philip's site is one of the best SG-1 site and source of pics.

I've been in contact with Phillip, and he's found a home for his site (yay!!). He's also now got the domain:

http://www.p3x595.com

although he has a domain the site appears to be in exactly the same place...

Yes, it takes time to move the files to the server that will now be the site's home. He revealed in the GateGuide's chat that yes, he had found a home for the files; and that the domain which was currently pointing to his Simplenet location will change to point to the new home when the files are transferred.

I gather, from talking with Philip and with other webmasters formerly hosted on Simplenet, that Yahoo's bandwidth limitation takes effect (at least for standing accounts) in January 2001. That seems to be a watershed date for a lot of the activity on Yahoo, including those companies recently acquired by Yahoo (Simplenet, Webring, etc. etc.) There will, apparently, be widespread abandonment of many webrings on 01 January 2001, after the rings have found new homes and gotten all their members switched over.

hmm... different- it has different mouseovers and it has a link to sublevel 28, never had them before :)

(gateguide- love your site :))

GateGuide,

Glad to see you back over here! Thanks for posting! Going to be interesting when all the old sites shut down. Wonder what the server will do to get them back...or does the server want them back?
