Like Padders said, I'm here to answer any questions about the convention, and if it is something that I can't answer, I have 3 very talented and knowledgeable partners from whom I can ask for you.

It must have been a real thrill for both you and J. R. Bourne to have the you in the Tok'Ra costume. Did he give you any hints about how it differed from his?

Matierials, how he got in his, different than yours?

it looked great and so did the gate. I heard that allen did that and bought it with him... wow that must of cost a pretty penny. It didnt look like it would fit in your carry-on bag. Once again ... great job

Is there any chance of a gatecon in adealaide australia?

I would love to do one in Adelaide. My brother has just moved there, and I hear it's a beautiful place (i'm from Canberra, dont hold it against me please).

Unfortunately, Gatecon is US based, and we are mainly concentrating on North America. My suggestion would be, contact Adele at "Best of Both Worlds" www.bobw.com.au, and ask her. I know she was going to do an SG-1 con in Melbourne, but not too sure what happened about that one.

And thanks to lexxy4me for the kind comments. I didn't actually make all of the Gate in Aus. Just the template, then used a liquid rubber to make the individual peices in Canada. I had to send the template over a couple of weeks before, just so it could get there before me.

well, i want to go in sept but i need to know how to get started. how to reserve tickets, how much it is going to cost and all that stuff.

so if Gatecon is US based,Fla is still in the US ain't? We have white sand, nice weather,unless it during "hurricane season" we have enough hotel rooms (the actors and some of the fans(skydiver and jsc) can stay with me,just ignore my daughter) and Disney World and the rest of Fla.'s attractions is only about 6 hours away. Biloxi,Miss.(casinos) is only 2 hours away. PLEASE!

florida sounds good to me, and a heck of a lot closer than vancouver. do i need a passport for canada?
i could drive to florida in a day or two...maybe jsc could swing by kansas on the way from california and pick me up?

HEY, GATECON DO US Citizens need a passport for Canada? or do they have a visitors visa like Mexico does for the people that go there for a few days or has that changed and we can go for a few days without one? Last time I was in Canada for a few days was centuries ago and we did not need one then but we did check in with the border guards and the guards at the National Park where we were staying.

If they do it in Fla. will stop by and get you on the way to Florida, Skydiver. Hope you don't mind dog hair and will try to get it vacuumed up really well! but dog inhabits the car as he loves to go and is a good passenger!
BUT he will not go with us! This is for women only! Will keep Asgard and his mouth at home, also! Have cousins in Fla. I would love to see after the convention! Also some sites (I think I am as bad as Daniel!).

here's a really good idea...at least to me.
have one in colorado springs colorado or denver
a) it's only a 7 hrs drive for me (selfish i know but it would be centrally located for a lot o folk)
b) it's the home of stargate, at least cheyenne mountain and where the show takes place
c) with enough notice maybe you could arrange for all of us to have out pics taken outside the entrance to cheyenne mountain, a truly unique experience. i know there are security procedures to get into the mountain(actually you can only go to the entrance and watch a slide show) (imagine getting your pic the jack, sam, teal'c, danny & co with the entrance to cheyenne mountain in the background...priceless)
but...i think it'd be great. also in the area is pikes peak, shopping in manitou springs and old colorado town, the casinos at cripple creek, the royal gorge bridge, garden of the gods, the air force academy, the pro rodeo hall of fame, the coors plant up in golden, a really cool outlet mall towards denver and tons more.

yeah, that sound nice,but skydiver,but isn't colorado cold this time of year? at least in fla,jack and tealc can take pictures in shorts on the white beaches of fla...........hehehehehehe ok,ok jsc, hammond can take pictures too.............

i forgot, we have a "naval base" here in Pensacola,(of course its not like the one on tv,we don't have mountains or palms trees,just miles and miles of white sand)

NO! US citizens do not need a passport to get in or out of Candada ... but do need proof of citizenship ... i.e. their birth certificate ...

I think Gatecon 20-- should be held wherever Rick is at that moment!

I will try and answer the questions from the last couple of inquiries...

Don't quote me on this, but I don't think you need a passport to get into Canada from the US. I would check first, but i'm sure this is the case.

As for Colorado.... mmmm... .... aaahhhhh
We've actually been talking about that one a lot over the past year or so. I won't give much away at the moment, but keep your eyes open for when we announce the convention locations for the two cons in 2002. We are tossing up between a couple of US locations... and yes... Colorado is one of them.

Ok I been trying to add my email address to the gatecon 2001 mailing list for a few weeks... but everytime it tells me there is an error and to try back later.

Can someone tell me what to do.
