I'm with you on The Last Question, SG. I think it is my favourite short story ever.

I haven't read too many of his short stories, but I just finished "Youth" and I can't help but keep smiling.
I enjoy his use of nicknames - it reminds me of LEM's crafty Solaris. For such a short story I was really enamored by the depth of the characters and I was really rooting for the 'kids' red and slim.
I wish slim was also physically described, as RED was, but alas I guess I'll just have to take it away with my imagination.
