Hi, Manc S-1 girl here. Does neone know what Ch4 are doing? When is SG restarting?

nope, useless channel 4. Stargate on at 8.00 a.m. or something wastn't it! Sky is essential these days....

*Grr* S/one should shout at the C4 guys. Thank the heavens for Sky, Oh, on 2nite, yippe! Maybe give me new fanfic ideas... If anyone sees SG-1 scheduled on C4, plis let me know, I almost missed the first ep. I'll post here if I see it first.

Someone said that its back on c4 after christmas.
Also, sky one is repeating (what looks like) the entire first series at dinner times (and 6:00am) starting wed 20th dec if anyone is interested.

Message in a Bottle. Series 2, episode 7.
During an expedition on a dead planet SG-1 find an orb that continually sends out electromagnetic signals. The team assume that it is a time capsule. Enthralled by its power source that seems to have lasted for over a thousand years, they take it back to Stargate control with them where they begin tests on the object. However, during the tests the object heats up to an incredible temperature, propels bolts at everything and sends out an alien organism which is affecting everything, animated or not. When the end looks nigh for the team and the project Carter suggests that they try to communicate with the object by surrendering O'Neill's body to it. Will this work or have they made a huge mistake.

(Also back on Sky1 2nite!!! :D)

i think its about time to i say they didnt even give us an explanation about why they took it off cos it was to early 2 blame it on the christmas season

I think c4 is becoming imfamous for its sci-fi scheduling now, as it cocks up series after series... Babylon 5, Angel, Stargate.....

In Sky's defence.....

Sky One recently responded in their mag that they have to negotiate to buy syndicated programmes per episode, they can't always purchase a whole series so they buy what they can and air it while they're trying to buy the rest. This is the reason they give for only showing six epi's for example.

(ps no, I don't work for them!. I also get mad when they cut out mid-series).

On the whole Sky are much better than C4, I know SG1 disappeared recently on Sky, but it came back, and carried on in sequence. I find that C4 often stop mid-series (maybe for the same reason you quote for Sky), but then don't bring back the show, or wait ages and then start the series over or something else like that

Arr. sky one are great. The show massives of science fiction, get some stuff at the same time as it is on for the first time in the states and come back to shows series after series. I love em!

indeed. Even if they fill up our days with "Six Million Dollar Man" and the "Bionic Woman"...good ol' Sci-Fi channel!!!

What is Sky One doing?

Hey, Chevron36, or anyone who has Sky One,
Is there another slot of Stargate (whateva series) on Sky 1 other than the wednesday night one? Chevron36 was talking about a 6:00 slot...?

past-tense! They showed the first series over the Christmas period (musta had a schedule hole to fill;))but now its back to just the Weds slot..

Yeah, that's what I figured, and yet I was clinging desperately to the shadow of the last rapidly disappearing miniscule shred of hope that Stargate might come on more than once a week. :(

Neva mind, can't complain, at this very moment i'm recording the ep 'Family' from C4 :D

whenever I am low, I emember the times when I was sci-fi less (shock horror!!!) and think... 'Twice a week ain't bad' ;) Ain't bad at all!

Another Brit here

What's with calling us all Brits? 'English', I can handle.
Well, I know about being SF less. Not only was I angry when C4 cut SG-1 mid-series 2, I also hardly ever get to watch the thursday night Sci-Fi on BBC 2. This is my fault, as I have a lack of assertivness, and can't give my siblings perfectly good reasons why I want to watch Buffy, Star Trek, Farscape (when it was on), and the like. Markpud, even being without Sky, I read the amount of Stargate that was on. Wasn't it 5 episodes a day at one point?
Oh well, We get to see 'Secrets' tommorow. Excuse me for a moment...YEAH!!!!....Hmm, sorry 'bout that.

Five episodes a day?! O dear Apophis on Chulak (as opposed to 'O dear God in Heaven')! What paradise!

SERIES 4 SPOILER!

Yeah, I know, wicked huh? And I only got this from reading the Mail TV guide, and figured that it was series 1, because it mentioned 'alternate universe', so I thought 'There but for..' (sorry, that title's too long). By the way, I thought that was a great episode.
