No I won't say MS because he wasn't there. And I actually didn't really MEET anyone. I saw lots of people from the show(Amanda Tapping, JR Bourne, Alexis Cruz, Tony Amendola, Eric Avari, Peter Williams, Teryl Rothery) and Don Davis (General Hammond said Hi to me, but that's about it. Only the actual Gatecon staff and volunteers really got to meet the actors and production crew properly.
Those who were prepared to stand in line for photos and autographs (and who had VIP tickets) and didn't mind getting yelled at got to meet the actors for a couple of minutes, but mostly the security volunteers guarded their charges as though they were rolled in gold.
The actual organisers put a lot of hard work in and kudos to them for that, they did a sterling job.... however their choice of staff left a lot to be desired.
I personally wouldn't have travelled all that way and paid all the money that many did to attend.... for me it simply wasn't worth it. but my flight was paid by my company and so was half of my hotel bill because I was in Vancouver for a job interview, not just the convention. All I paid for was the first three night's hotel bill and the Gatecon ticket, so I wasn't too worried
That's about it.... you should go to the convention threads, you will find a much more effusive and enthusiastic report from the convention there!
