off topic - on average, using a fast computer logged on at a modem speed of 46,666, how long does it take to down an ep from gammaquad and how much space do they take up?

You need Windows Media Player Version 7(can dl it from Microsoft if you don't have it) to run the .asf files from Gamma Quadrant. They average about 19MG each and take about 1hr 45 connected at 48000bps so it may take about another 20mins at 46000bps.

I have also only seen up to Watergate and I told myself that I wouldn't cheat and download from gamma quadrant, but I just got so impatient when I found out it was gonna be another 40 weeks. I'm currently downloading 1 ep of s4 everyday. Just downloaded Point of No Return.

The quality is really good.
I downloaded the promo for Exodus. It looks so cool. I can't wait to get up to it.

JAD, have you downloaded/seen all of s4?
If "Yes", what did you think of 2010?


BTW everyone: GQ will have s5 opener "Enemies" out a soon as it has aired in June. Pretty cool!

what is this gamma quadrant place you guys are talking about, I haven't come across it before
 
thanks, shelby. i'm holding off the urge to get into gq. i hate long download times. even napster drives me nuts sometimes.

fahrbot, gq is a place from where you can download sg-1 eps. i'm sure that jad or shelby can give you the address (marty could too of course but........)

I couldn't wait.

I asked about 2010 cos I was just browsing through the screen caps of it at phil's and listening to some of the sound clips and it seemed really fantastic. I can't wait till i download it.

Just go into another room and watch a stargate tape while it downloads. The time just flies by.
 
you shoudnt do that, it wastes money a whole 18.1 c everytime.
